Sunshine Coast Salmon?

I find that this site leans more towards the Sechelt/Gibsons area.

I go to Pender Harbour a couple times a year and still trying to figure out the areas to Prawn/Crab/Fish in June/July.

Any other reports. I am heading out tomorrow night.

A guy at work I talk fishing with has a cabin up that way and he was up there getting things ready and was talking to some of his neighbours in Halfmoon Bay.

He said head that places like the Pilings, up close to Texada and Bjerre Shoals have produced a few fish in recent weeks. Apparently there's quite a bit of bait around and that's where the success has been.

Gypsy spoons in 232, Flamin' Hans, Purple Haze and Spackleback hoochies and Kripple K's have all been productive for the locals up there in recent weeks.

Of course this is 3rd hand news but probably worth checking out.

Thanks Fishin Magician! Good to hear about the bait. What size Flamin' Hans would you fish?

I have caught fish at this time of year off Epsom Point in the past. I'll let everyone know how I do.

What does a Flamin'Hans look like? May seem like an odd question but i have never seen one.....lol

Cheers

Maybe a bit more purple

They're made by Gibbs. The Gibbs Gypsy spoon...in the 2 3/4" size. They're glow/green with a hot cerise stripe right down the middle. The 232 is the same size. They're available at Army and Navy and Berry's Bait and Tackle. Something about that hot pink Cerise Stripe really works. It's a year round spoon. Don't buy the larger size..they're total SH*T and the larger size doesn't catch with a damn. Take the hook that's on there off and add a stainless steel 3/0 J hook by Mustad. Since there are lots of fish around I'd fish small to medium size anchovies as well.
