Sunshine Coast Salmon?

Heading over to the Sunshine Coast June 1st to 3rd for a little Salmon fishing. Anyone been fishing over there recently? Any reports?

Hi I live in Gibsons, and get out most weekends. Things have been pretty slow lately, water is really dirty. grace island is a good bet or off the point of center bay on gambier was very good last year at the start of june Good luck I might see ya out there. I'm in a 21 foot campion fishing machine.

S L O W salmon fishing.

Amazing jumbo prawns everywhere though even after the commercial guys have been pounding away for a month.

Clams on Savary are plentiful and huge this year due to limited commercial openings.

Crabs great.

Oysters beginning to milk up.

Lings TBD soon.

Thanks SIR and RO. I have the little brother of your boat RO a 17.5 foot Campion. I think we're planninng to base ourselves out of Secret Cove. Talked to a guide friend in Sechelt and he said the Salmon have been real slow. Hopefully something changes in the next few days. At least we can play a few Lings!

Years past we fished Andersen Bay on the E coast of Texada, aka The Pilings, it's a big shallow curve that holds bait on occasion.

Then over to the S.tip of Lasqueti on the flood, sometimes Sangster Island as well depending on the crowd but it hasn't been crowded there for ages now I imagine.

Looks like there are some more recent reports on the Sunshine Coast site I referred to above.... maybe fishing is starting to pick up a little.

Got a nice Ling about 11 pounds. Hooked a Chinook around 18 pounds off Epsom Point. Was real rough the first day and then flat the second day. Chinook hit a choive on a gold charteuse flasher in 120 feet of water at 110 on the wire.
