Any recommendations on must have gear for the summer and areas/conditions/ways to fish them? Lures or other items? Going to get ready for the summer and stock up this weekend.

I've been tying something very similar but skinny and sparse like Needlefish. I've ordered more "heads" to tie in different sizes and colors,and I'm sure they will be hot.
There was a company called Trophy Tackle that made a Flasher Fly that worked really well, but I always doctored them with a few different materials. I will be using more of the newer UV materials to tie the new ones.....
Ace Hi Fly looks like it will be a slayer.

Nikka in Steveston Village has those flies.
Note that they're meant to be fished behind a flasher on a short leader and quite a fast troll.

I'm fishing out of Tahsis, primarily off-shore.

Haha thanks FD but i get outfished hard most times i leave the local area! Far from being as dialed in as many top rods on this board in terms of adapting to areas/fisheries.
Those flys look very fishy.#197 caught my eye right away.Rob ill be in on saturday to load up on some new gear for the summer. Do you have your glow balls in the shop? Look forward to catchin up.

Went out to Nikka today to buy some Silver Horde Ace Hi Fly. They were sold out. They say the can't keep them on the rack. Had one left that I picked up (UV Army Truck). Obviously they have done a heck of a marketing job or they're really producing good results. I'll assume the latter....
