Summer Family Vacation Destination

Hey guys, anyone have a great idea for a 2 week stay in a nice accommodation on a lake that offers summer fishing and swimming? Need a 3 bedroom accommodation with kitchen, preferably on a lake where I can take a canoe and possibly a power boat. Would be nice on the island but am willing to travel a bit too if for the right setup. Not looking for famous fishing but nice scenery and family entertaining fishing with a few BBQ fish. Could be on an inlet too with some nearby swimming opportunities in freshwater too. Any ideas are welcome! Looking at August.

X2. Powell lake depending how far up the lake that place is. The water is far warmer up the lake a few miles than at the bottom. Early summer is the best for fishing. I know I've seen that cabin but I can't remember where.

Now that I've checked the site out I know the exact spot that is. Definitely gonna want a boat.

Nice thing about being here is we have access to the ocean and the lake very close together. There are a number of cabins on the lake most about 7 miles up and numerous spots to canoe. I have had company visit and we have fished the salt at daybreak, checked out the lake for fishing and swimming during the day and golfed in the evening. There are also the spots like Palm Beach on the salt water in our area with wide sandy beaches and just 3 miles up to the Gordon Pasha lakes. There is a complete network of lakes all within an hours drive and dozens of launch and picnic swim areas along the way.
I am not sure if they are still there but there was a boat house rental on Powell lake and you then have an oppurtunity to try a dozen different sites for hiking picnicking swimming fishing.

Thanks guys. That sounds very interesting. Do you know of any accommodation on shore on Powell Lake? I am afraid that wife is not so keen being house bound everytime I take the boat for fishing/playing...

August you will start to see the coho arriving just around the point in Douglas Bay
