Suggestions for lodge at Winter Harbour

My friends and I plan a trip every year in June. Previously we have stayed in Bamfield but this year we are thinking Winter harbour. Any suggestions of a bring your own boat lodge?

Some come with dock space, some not; however, I have never had any problems using the government dock (prefer inside). The government dock is on the east side of the pier. The Outpost Marina, fuel dock, and there is a boat launch on the west side. The grocery store/liquor is at the end of the pier and there RV/campsite is just across the road.

I don't know if Ridley's is a "bring you own boat" or not, but I don't think so?

Here are links to some spots I know, and they are not in any particular order; however, I have stayed at Dick's main house (B&B). You might want to take a look? If you don't want B&B take note of the 'Cabin Page'?

I haven't been up to Winter Harbour but I know the folks who own the Outpost.....and I can vouch that they are great people; lots of fun and great personalities.

Knowing them I would imagine they don't run a "half butt" operation as they have the financial backing to ensure things don't get run into the ground. Greg and Andrea are really great people....can' say enough good about them.

Thanks for all your post guys. I didnt see a web site for Ridleys. Does anyone have his contact info? I checked the others online and in the new year will get in touch with them. We should be able to get offshore but I do need to get some research done on where to go. I have a good friend that knows the area.

I ended up booking with Winter Harbour Cottages. Very nice to deal with and from the website the cabins seem nice. I can't wait to get up there!

Friends and I stayed there many years ago in May. We had stayed in other fishing cabins before and this was the first time we were staying there. Anyway we left Coal Harbour in the morning and drove the boats down only knowing that the "Fishing Cabin" was at the end of Winter Harbour and the key would be left out for us. Well we get to Winter Harbour and we look around the harbour and we can't find this "Fishing Cabin" We drive all around the harbour and can't find any signs of life. The only place we can find is this great place right on the water, but its way to nice to be a "Fishing Cabin" but we dock the boats and see if we can find some one around. While we are there one of the guys says he's going to try this nice house and we all laugh at him and say "Ya right thats are cabin". Well It turned out that was are cabin and to this day we still laugh about that "Fishing Cabin". It is the nicest cabin that we have ever stayed in. As it turned out it was the worse weather we have ever fished in too. We were tied up for 2 days and had to make a run for it the day we left. For 2 days the winds were over 60K and there was huge fishing boats in the harbour for safety. The nice thing about it was the owner drove in to check up on us and ended up taking some of us beach combing at a nearby beach. I'm sure you will love the place.
