Fished Bute for a couple of days and had a great trip to break the ice for summer '09. Ended up with 8 chinook largest 26. Several other feisty ones were LL released and lost one pig due to operator error, (see below) Had the inlet pretty much to ourselves. Shot a few grizzlies, (with a camera) one sucker was at least 1000 lbs. Garden salad hootch and chovies both worked. Prawns were jumbo, plentifull and not one small one to be had. Pics are to come.

Tortuga, wre did you set up camp?. Fuel is my biggest question. I run up from Quadra and dont like to carry that much fuel. Did they put the fuel dock in like they were talking about?

We stayed at a friends place in Big Bay. He guides for Sonora so he refuelled there. I think the fuel dock thing is a rumour. Don't think there is enough business to support a new one. In march this year we just loaded up on jerry cans to bring with us. Why don't you like to carry much fuel?
