Too many Cuba Libre's there Cowboy? Just got back. We caught the last hour of the Flood at Greensea. Boated 1 Sockeye, 1 Pink, and 1 live release on our only shallow line. Then motored over to the bay accross from Hall Pt. Set 2 lines, and bam, a nice 12, maybe 15 lb Northern. It was a CR day for the boys from CR, but hey we had some action at least. Lot's of schools going by Greensea on the Flood. Stuart boys were all staying home, if that helps. I think we should have moved to Hall Pt sooner, but I have not fished that area much. No more doom and gloom, get out and fish.

Yes definately need to go fishing.. but for the time being it will be taking my two grandaughters to the Comox Nautical Days Bullhead derby this Sat. 
After they leave for home, I plan on heading for Stuart on day trips . If the Stuart boats are not at Greensea, they just might have something happening at Hall/Denham.... ( OH MY GAWD!!! BAAAAAA!!!)

Yeah I figure we did 70-80 NM roundtrip, not for the faint of heart at the fuelpumps, but instead of driving and burning gas to Hardy, Gold River, or Alberni, we burnt a litle more boat gas. Quinsam Crossing was $1.33/litre, pretty well giving it away.
Never hear too much out of that area unless you know a guide or someone up there. I guess it was Denham Bay where we got the Coho. Nice area to fish. We made it through Dent Rapids, before wisdom told us to go back the way we came. We then saw the guys on the backside of Hall Pt. which had no boats when we arrived.

Does anyone know the status of fuel in the area of Stuart Island (Big Bay)??? I know there used to be fuel, but with Big Bay Resort gone what are the options for fuel and ice?

Bring it with you-- no fuel sales unless they just put some in recently. Screws up the spring Bute trips big time if you dont have a big tank
