Strange Salmon Caught

Heard that DFO had a fish turned in from a commercial fisher in Johnstone Strait that was unique and unidentifiable. A 'large' fish, looking similar to a chinook, but the top half was bright orange like a yelloweye. ???

Sounds like one of those mutant escapees from the fish farms. Did it have 3 eyes as well. DAMN those Norwegians and all their genetic manipulations !!!

The same DFO source also confirmed a 100 lb Hali from Kitty the other day............no joke intended Kelly [:0]

Fisheries lady in Renfrew on Monday had a "yellow sockeye" caught by a commercial boat. She said she was sending it to the DFO lab to check it out. I didn't get a good look at it though.

Its a new strain called chicken salmon they hatch out of an egg at a secret farm in Sask and were brought out here 4 yrs ago and released..
if you catch one your supposed to let it loose at a farm so it can lay some more eggs..
