$5,000 Reward. Any information leading to the arrest of the individuals reaponsible for the theft of my commercial crab pots, or the return of my stolen commercial crab pots from the Port McNeill area will be rewarded $5,000. The boat that I believe may be responsible usually ties up in Alert Bay. Please message me or phone / text me at 250 710 7344. I'm a young, honest crab fisherman trying to make a living and take care of his 2 year old son. I take this very seriously. Thank you.

Sport fishermen are not the only ones who have a problem of theft of gear. I hope this guy gets a reply.

Terrible! This kinda makes me wish there was a tougher minimum sentence/consequence for people to be charged with for stealing any tools or materials that are part of another persons livelihood. Something tells me if you lost a finger or a hand every time you got busted, there'd be a lot less crime of this nature.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not trying to endorse any sort of downright totalitarian society per say, I just really hate to see hard working people having the tools they use to provide for their families and employees with stolen. Why can't people just keep their grimy mitts off other people's stuff?...

the people who knowingly buy hot goods should be hung. they create a market. i get approached all time here in vancouver with "hey wanna buy some tools?"

fack thieves.

hope he gets his gear back.

Thieves. I hate em. 3 mos after I bought my house my neighbour asked about boat parts, when I said I don't have what your looking for he says right to me he'd just go steal them. I got a large Shepard cross that same week. Think about it. If you caught someone sneaking around stealing your stuff do you really think they told anyone where they are or what they're up to? Sounds like a disappearing trick in the making to me.
