Just picked up some steel 32” commercial prawn traps, (not stainless)…anyone have any experience fishing these? Do they fish the same, different, do you need zincs…any info appreciated. Thx

I had some steel ones that I lost, no zincs, rusty and ugly, net torn and tied together with tie wraps and not really tight on the frame, they out fished everything else I used at the time including a stainless and a coated steel trap. They had plastic ABS rings in the openings, one theory is that prawns don't like the feel of steel. They would not out fish the square Bauer style traps I have now though.
