Starting the buildup of my stb engine

That's some chain you got in that thing. Does it have a master link or do you have to slide a gear on and fiddle with it to slap it together. Those gaskets aren't cheap are they. Good to here you got her flashed up and ready for the water. Nice job.

I had it running in the yard then put it in the water on Sat. planning to spend the night at at Teakrine arm with the kids. Started it up and got underway.. something wasnt right. Had a code flashing and couldnt get full power on the one engine. Had a quick look, took it back home disappointed. Had a good look this morn and found two plug ins that were crossed. the colors were different and it was dark when I did the final assenbly. Corrected it and sea trialed it today. Runs great!

That's a great build. I know I wouldn't have the stones to tear into a modern 4 stroke outboard!

No. I have a water leak coming from a cracked water jacket leaking onto my starter. I dont know for sure how the crack happened, but I suspect it happened at the machine shop. Whatever, Ill repair it but I am really getting to a point where I dont want to have any more to do with it. If I had the $ Id just replace the engine.
