Stained boat from forest fire ash

Took the boat out of water and washed all the ash off. It left a yellow/orange stain all over the boat. I tried everything and nothing helped. Any ideas? Is anyone else having this issue?

Don't know what to use, perhaps starbrite will work but I would phone a detail shop first. I do know that you should NOT use soapy water to try and take ash off, this will only make it stain. Use cold water first to try and rinse off as much as possible first, then call detail shop. A local fire investigator told me this years ago.

I think that must have been the problem. It was raining a lot here yesterday and took away most of the ash before I could figure out what to do.

I had the same problem. Use a product called fsr. It's a gel you apply and brush in a bit, let sit and then hose off. I used Ajax to clean mine and then a guy showed me this stuff. Amazing. John Henry's in Pender harbour had it.

Thanks for your input guys, I had a similar problem from scent being dripped (brother in law) on the white fiberglass hull causing a yellow/orange stain I could not get off with everything under the sink! Was able to pick up the starbrite hull cleaner and it removed the stain and other marks as well. Worked great for my cause.
