Shooting for a Hali Trip late next week with a whole pile of fresh Herring, Squid, And other assorted Halibut Candy, pre-cut, bagged, frozen and ready to go for another season.
With any luck the wind will break off for a bit and the waters will be calm as a mill pond.

trolled Clover point area, various depths to 185'
using anchovey/purple haze and purple haze squirt
one hit only, and a seal grabbed it after a short
fight. got my gear back though !
anybody else have better success ?

have heard from a few buddies hali is very slow same as the herring run friend of mine was there on craigflower from 6 to 11 am saw 1 herring caught but they must be around cause theres comorants every where in the gorge ????????????????
ok i saw you fellows off Clover point about 10:30 am
for a couple of passes.
i was in a 16' k&c with a 50 hp Honda.
only fish i had on was grabbed by the #@%&* seal !
