Just watched mark pendlington releasing numerous Springs
in the 15-30 lb class up at Peregrine lodge in the charlottes.
Made me green with envy...
wonder if the fishing is as good as they make it look ?

It may not be as good as it looks, but Pendlington sure knows how to catch fish.

Peddington puts his hours in and in prime locations at the right time of the season. The north coast and Charlottes are productive, especially when you can get there when the runs at peaking.

Craven I didnt think he has gone with MADDOG yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL LOL

It all depends if your there when the fish are there last summer of of malcom all the guides (5) limited out in one morning then the next day only a few right place right time

Good Luck Wolf

i agree, being in the right place , at the right time
is 90% of the battle.
maybe if he asked, maddog would take him fishing ?

I have personally spent numerous years in that exact local and can say it can be unbelivable fishing at times. Just like everywhere though slow days come with the good. The northern charlottes can get to the point of feeding frenzies where as soon as you drop a line you have on a nice spring. When Mark filmed up there, it was late Aug. generally a slow time for that area for springs so editing might have come into play a bit, but you never know up there. I know of one board member whom I worked with up there pulling off a 38,47,52 pond Triple header!!! Lets hope the fishing will stay that way.

my one and only trip to the charlottes (so far)
was hampered by wind and rain, kinda like we're having here.
the lodge was great, the people were fantastic,
and i am looking forward to going again one day.

At the time, wind was blowing between 30-40 knots
and i have never seen waves so big !

I sure enjoyed watching Pendlington this morning, great show!

Luck and being in the right place at the right time sure plays a role at least 90 % of the time. I personally don't believe in the rightous Im a better fisherman than you attitude that on occasion gets in the way of a good day fishing.

It would sure be great to do the Charlottes some day.I truly envy Yo Mamma for getting so much time up there. I have been envited to Tasu Sound Lodge for a four day trip with a buddy and his large group from work. Looks pretty cool??? Pricey$$$ even with the group rate though.

Sure brings to mind a crazy day we had on a fun trip to Uci. Non stop Bigbank Mayhem. Any one could catch a fish out there. Limits in no time on simple gear, Plugs Hootchies and spoons no flashers, all fun. Then we went home with **** eating grins. Fished Sooke and caught the tail end of the Bonnanza near the end of August. The fish were stacked and most if not all were into there Limits. Too Cool.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

That show wasn't filmed in late august. It was on July 3.
You are wrong! The show was filmed in late august. I know this because i guided mark on that show. Ive guided mark on numerous shows and the information mark shares with the viewers is correct. Christopher dunn

Tell em Chris, I will back you up. I was following you around the kelp at the Jalun River for most of July observing all those tyees comming over your gunnels. Thats funny stuff, whats the odds Marks guide is on here to set the record straight.Gees ....I could swear it was May 21. Are you heading back next summer? Stay cool slayer!

Actually I have that show on tivo. I just reviewed it and he states that it is the third of july. So he must be lying, or the show you guys are talking about was a different one.

Here is a handy fishermans number conversion chart.
You can see how misunderstandings can arise.
Imperial - Fisherman
3 - 5
5 - 9
7 - 12
9 - 18
11 - 20
15 - 25
20 - 30
25 - about 40
over 25 huge.

One thing you guys have missed. Mark P does not pay for his fishing. I would imagine his fee is close to $10k these days. That said, would you 'spend' that kind of cash to promote your property AND not catch any decent fish? I think not.

Yes powder, I will be back in early may for rig-up. Klashwun point is the place to be early season. Ride the rip on both tides and cutplug shallow. Short lead off the rigger or 10-13 pulls on an 8oz. Guarantyeeeee it. c ya on the water.
