Ok Ok, how about you let me get out there to see for myself :P Im still having little luck. Im thinking its to do with the times im able to get out fishing. Always seems to be ebbing. And I never go far west. Seems Otter and Sherringham have been the better spots.

you will get your .25 cents soon Wolf. I just hope the Cohos come strong again. Where is all the bait? I dident see much yesterday. Though I saw a bait ball and about a 6-7 pounder jumping assuming it was a sockeye though.

Anybody else here bucking the waves on the sat afternoon flood at Otter?
Had been out all day so I didn't stick around for high slack. Any good?
Jordan River was quiet all day.

Watched dbl R get some yesterday too...... Not sure you've earned your .25 yet wolfie :D
Good thing we went to Renfrew today. Hopefully they are on their way down

Its still hit and miss, missed 2 today, both hit hard off rigger and almost gone right away...frustrating!! Probably males that grab and spit, all 3 fish I landed yesterday were males too. Saw 3 or 4 including a double at high slack, then dead zone for the last hour this morning. Had a single customer this morning so thought it would be an easy trip, didn't work out that way. Beauty day once the marine cloud burnt off and the current slop ended.

Its got nothing about "earning" the 25 cents its the principle alot on here are/were crying the sky is falling because we wernt catching fish if there isnt alot of fish there to get you cant get them it was very slow but it has vastly improved from 3 weeks ago. If fishing was easy it would become boring YES you have to work at it but if your confident in your abilities sometimes it pays off.

This is what its all about!!!!!

This young man all of 10 yrs old reeled in his first salmon ever today a 17 lb spring (with a bit of help holding the rod a bit from his uncle mike) other than that he reeled it in all by himself,
You cant top the smile on this kids face and ill bet he will NEVER forget it.
Sometimes we loose track of why we go out there sit back and think of the good and not always the negative, im quilty of it myself!!!!
what im trying to say is look at what we have and be thankful we still have it (for now) enjoy it while we still can.

Out yesterday fishing Beechey Head to O'Brian Pt. Got a 19 lb. and lost two of similar size near the boat. Hit the fish at 8:00, 10:00, and noon. All on anchovey deeper than normal. Heard of a few boats getting multiple fish as well, mostly before 8:00 am, fishing same area. Better yesterday than it has been as far as I could tell.

It took a few days but I finally got my pictures up. This is from Saturday, ran up to Otter Point in the morning with 2 boats fished 8 hours each and could only get one to bite. My fishing partner is really showing me up.... maybe I should check "his" barbs.... kidding of course.

I should add that since we couldn't find any decent anchovies my fishing partner was using a green and silver hootchie with a silver insert. He was only 55 feet deep and in close to the shore.

Well the hooks were sticking better today, 3 for 4. A couple of 26's and a 19. Early bite for sure, 2 in the boat before 6am. Shallow and deep both working, depending if your working close to the beach or off a bit. Off to Gold River Thursday morning for a few days with clients. Always look forward to getting away and having a blast at the nicest place to fish on the Island. Hope the weather holds!

Had your problem today had 2 on lost them both oh well shiat happens hhhhhhhmmm more fish than 3 weeks ago !!!!amazing......

A day late, but here it goes. Out yesterday at Beechy and area. Fished from 1:30 to 6:30 (I know, should've been out earlier or later):D. Also trolled out to 600 feet and back. Not even a nibble anywhere. Tried everything I could think of in my tackle box, plus ANCHOVIES. But it was great. Can't catch fish sitting at home surfing the net. Plus, it gave me an afternoon off from painting the house. Yes I would've been happier to have come home with a fish or four, but I love getting out whenever I can.
