I just wanted to give a special thanks to Chris bos for speaking at the council meeting and Ron from eagle eye for getting the word out to everyone to attend the council meeting for support for the fight for halibut, many fisherman and guides and many of my friends Al,Cal,bill,Tom,steve,Dwayne just to name a few also the marina manager as well showed up I think someone said 27 people in support not bad for sooke

I was given the task for "CORRESPONDENCE requiring action" to speak to the mayor and the council via my letter I wrote asking for support regarding halibut and salmon a few weeks back.
HELL yeah I was nervous as I dont do well in big setting speaking to a crowd but I beared down and did it said my piece stumbled a bit but got thru it and in my speech asked for support from the sooke members and they UNANIMOUSLY VOTED IN FAVOR OF SUPPORT. Also the mayor said shes going to voice her concerns on wed. at the CRD meeting.
Thanks again to all came down to put up a front and give me personal support it really helped. thanks again guys

Thanks guys definatlly a new thing for and would'nt been able to do it with out the help from others who helped me in support and guidance, I got up and did it for a few reasons and thats to try and make a difference.I dont want my friends kids who are 5 yrs old coming to me 20 yrs from now asking what I did back then to help...I can now say with a clear mind I did try and make a difference.
