Sold:Orange Islander MR3 and River Creek Rod

Reelin In The Years

Well-Known Member
I won a orange Islander MR3 reel on a River Creek Rod in 2015 that I never use, so it is time to see if anyone would like to buy it. The rod it came on is a River Creek Rods made in the USA,

The reel comes with it's box and the serial # is 10361.

The rod is SN #1004. model MU12657-2-C-12. Moderate Action. Medium/HeavyPower. The length is 10'6". 12-25# Line Wt. 1/2-2 1/2 oz. Lure wt.

Both rod and reel are in excellent shape and have been used 2x's in 10 yrs.

Asking price is $800 and I think would be quite reasonalable for a quality unit.

Looks like the downriiger mooching rod that I designed for RCR. If it is, it will have my name on it. I developed five actions for them for various saltwater and freshwater applications. It's an amazing rod, I still have the original prototype.

Amazing value for $800 on this combo deal. The rod new was $400. Some lucky angler should snap it up quickly.
Just curious what the rod is rated for? Looking for a setup for my dad that can take on some good size fish without a worry.. pretty new to the gear these days and not sure what any of it means anymore haha

The specs are pictured in the photo that I posted right beside my name. This is not my rod deal, so I'll leave it there.
