Sold my boat!

Jencourt

Well-Known Member
Hey guys and Gals!
I sold Jencourt today! Now as I have never sold a boat before I have questions. What kind of paperwork do I need to do? Is it just a bill of sale and a transfer on the trailer? How do I un-register it from my name?
Any help would be appreciated as he is picking it up on Monday.

Alkso I am now looking for a 21foot fishing machine of some sort.
Campion,Hurston,Grady(if price is right) something that falls into that style of boat.
If ya hear of one please pass it on to me.

Thanks everyone.
Cheers: Ray

Hey Ray,

The boat and the trailer have to be sold and dealt with separately. the trailer goes through ICBC and the boat transfer goes through the feds. Just finished dealing with all of this with my boat 7 years after the fact. There's a contact link and 1-800 on the thread about licensing nightmares in the salt water forum. You should be able to get what you need from that thread and recent post.

Next question is are you getting another one?

Thanks Chris
. Ya I am looking for a 21 ft with outboard power.

transfer of trailer is done at any icbc insurance place. For the boat all you need is a bill of sale that outlines Who the buyer and seller are (all contact info), the boats serial number if it has one, a description of the boat, and THE DATE. the date is super important. Bought a sold a cpl over the last 5 or so years with moving and everything. In the boat of sale I am pretty picky and wirte everything down, motor size, kind of boat, size of boat any xtras, kind of trailer etc.

Jencourt.....what are you looking for with respect to a boat?

I have a buddy in Tofino selling his vessel as he just upgraded in size......it's a great boat and I can say from first hand experience.....it's VERY, VERY 'fishy'!!!

Hi pippen. I am looking for a 21/22 fishing machine style . something with a lockable cuddy or small cabin.outboard power. Maybe an explorer or wellcraft, grady something like that.would prefer to have it with a kicker and electronics included. What is your buddy selling?

Wow moving up nice, took me 2 yrs to find the boat I was looking for, I do know a guy thats selling his older 22ft Stripper dont know all the details on it he is going bigger. Im not sure if hes even advertised it yet. I know its solid and well looked after though.

That's awsome Ray. If you can't find a new (to you) one local, there are literally thousands of them for sale in the States and lots are real good prices. I took a gander on some of the US boat listing sites the other day after we had talked, I was amazed at the number of boats and the price for them, it is almost overwhelming.

Cheers,
Jay.

That Wellcraft looks like a good prospect but I'm a sterndrive guy so I'll bail here...

I looked at the wellcraft listing. the add said it was on hold and I can not find any contact info for it. Am I missing something?

I know that wellcraft, fished out of it. The owner has barely used it, 200 hrs on a 98. Comes with everything you need to fish tomorrow, it screams with a 250 on it. Someone's getting a smoking deal at 14k...
