Sockeye Run 2014

fraser bound socks are usually closed offshore of ukee/bam

oh? bad luck for those out there. Too bad.
I was only giving info from past commy day experience and not familiar with the regs out there as i stay in the gulf now.
And unfortunately for the OP , the Frazer fish are on a direct tack to river and dont turn left up the Inlet .
They are like blood hounds on a hot trail. Find a spot along the trail that is legally open and as the other poster says , stack em and wack em.
Had some last night for NY .....slow cold smoked ....yummmmmmmy

Wouldn't get your heart too set on even getting chances at these fish the way DFO is being mis-managed by the time they reach the fraser and by the chance they will "open" it they will be past the westcoast ...not to be a downer but dont bet your vacation on it "being open" its easier for them to shut it down to let us have opportunities unless your from another race.......

I did the trek in the fall of 2010 to the spawning grounds at Roderick Haig-Brown Park on the Adams. Fish were thick everywhere in the river and huge schools were still staging in the lake. Fingers are crossed that everyone will get a good crack at them.

Yes, unfortunately that seems to be the case...:(
...here´s hoping for an early Xmas...:)

Shades of watching schools of coho go by the Pender bluffs but not being able to keep any wild ones, when you could in other zones. I struggle to make sense of some of the regs, for instance why area 19 has two sets of rules for minimum Spring size. I'm sure there is logic, but it escapes me.
