So How Do You Rig a Turd Anyway?

Was in PN & T in Steveston Village today and someone mentioned the Turd (Yamashita J85 they have bunch in stock) and I forgot to ask the guy how he rigs his.

A bit of a different shape and 6" long means I make mine something like Tuna lure, small spacer beads and a 7/0 Octopus hook right @ the bottom far enough for some of the bend of the hook to show beneath the bottom of the fronds.

Can't find my stupid camera anywhere unfortunately maybe tomorrow AM.

A glow/clear small gum pucky 2 -8 mm glow beads 1/0 siwivel -6/0 91570 Siwash hook. A couple other's is a glow needle fish inside.

There is a couple other way's but guide friend in Toffino may hunt me down []

I use glow beads then a swivel then a com siwash hook.

i use 5 beads and tandem 5/0 siwash hooks.used them up north- very productive

Do you use them in varous color patterns or just the brown one?
I've been seeing rigs like this is UV or green and glow ect. Do they all get used with success or just the brown turds?

I add a gold mylar insert with enough glow beads to have the rubber and the mylar the same length. Top secret Tofino guide suggestion. Are they still $100 for the 2 pack?

Is that supposed to be 10 bucks? I have a bunch of Tofino turds tied up from 6 yrs ago I guess they have increased in value. And they were tied up by the guides at Weigh West.

It's more like 11-13 bucks for 2 unrigged. Seems steep compared to this, but maybe that turd brown/spots combo is the only way to catch a fish.
