I purchased a boat and trailer from the Department of fisheries and oceans Canada in Burlington Ontario on May 25 2014. I have the trailer transfer of ownership but have lost the Bill of sale for the boat itself. I have possession of the boat and have pictures of the boat , boat Data plate showing the Model and HIN #. Can I trace ownership of the boat somewhere even though the boat was purchased by me back in 2014 now passed the Seven years where documents are available? If not can I go to a notary public and make a declaration? I am planning on selling the boat and trailer.
