Should You Vote?....

If you are like me, you are usually disgusted with those that get into office and do anything they like.

So then you think " I'm not going to bother voting next time.....they all suck no matter which party".

But then I got to thinking:- What scares the crap out of a politician?..........when there are millions of people out there who are going to vote, instead of just a few people (who always vote for the same party anyway).

When there are enough people out there voting....enough to sway the vote in favor of another party.....that's what get's their knickers in a twist immediately.......because they might lose.

So next election....get out there and vote...and make it known that your vote is going to another party.

You may say..."well there are only 3 or 4 parties...and I don't like any of them"

Pick the one closest to your needs other than the one in power......say it loud and proud......and then watch the ruling fat-cats start to sweat.

I agree completely with your push for folks to vote. I think I skipped two years in my time allowed to vote. It is serious stuff and many folks need a kick in the butt for sure to get out there to the polling booths on voting day. Like you said if your not sure do a little research and pick a party that suites you even in the least. There is nothing more powerful than the peoples voice. Your voice is your vote.

Its to bad that other type of voting system didnt pass a few years ago. Where if your first vote wasnt going to win your second vote would count. I cant remeber how it went but it sounded better. So people arent just voting for a party just to keep the other party from getting in, instead of voting who they really want in.

I have always voted. I was told long ago, "if you don't vote don't *****"

Of course you vote.

But just as importantly you tell all candidates and political parties that your vote and that of a great many other anglers is dependent on their positions and support of issues important to sport fishing such as fish habitat and protection, hatchery support, fish farms and most important of all, a fair share of resource allocation to the Sport Sector.

We want all parties to understand that if you want to increase your chance of being elected on the coast of BC you had better be thinking about fish and what the sport fishing sector means to our way of life and the economy of our coastal communities.

Don't tell them who you will vote for, it is no ones buisness but your own, but ask them their position on these issues and advise them that you will vote these issues.

1. Always vote.

2. If you're undecided, vote for the opposition.

Keep the buggers on their toes so they know they aren't god's gift to the governing class.
Never buy the argument that your vote doesn't matter.

Look at the games that have already been played with the voters. If you do not get in and use your vote the way you want to Pierre poutine will find a way of using your un-used vote.
