shaved ice in Campbell River....

heading out to Nootka for 6 days on Aug 31.
where is the best place to get a couple of coolers of shaved ice?

Boatland/Parker Marine.... Just go 2 mins north past the turn off to Gold River. So instead of turning left to go to Nootka go straight over the bridges and head 2 mins up the road.

I had been getting ice from a bulk station that was located on the right side of the road just before the turn off to Gold River. Is it still there? haven't been able to find it on my searches on the net.

It's the same ice machine. Same side of the road. Just 1 mins north of where it was. Still $1 a scoop.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I belive that Boatland does not have shaved ice but has regular cubed ice. Campbell River Sea Foods on the other hand has Shaved Salt Ice, a much better ice IMHO...................BB

Is the bulk ice not salt ice? From Boatland? It has been years since I bought it. Sure it is not shaved ice but I was sure it was salted crushed ice. After many of year of commercially fishing I will tell you shaved ice sucks. Fine crush is way better if you need to shovel 6-10 tons.
