my insurance company told me , there were 2 claims this past summer where the thieves
used a hack saw or saw zall , cut through round neck on the swivel pedestal ,
gonna guess that was pretty quick , sacrificed the mounts , but walked away with 3 brand new riggers

if they want em , there gone !!

It's strange that this happens, one of my favourite past times is walking around on the docks at marinas and checking out the boats and all the other things you see at marinas and the amount of stuff I see sitting unsecured boggles my mind. The biggest thing being small outboard motors, you don't usually even need a tool to remove them, loosen a couple handles and you can walk away with them yet something as simple as a padlock would give it a reasonable amount of security.
