It’s a real shame those inbred SRKW’s couldn’t acquire a taste for seal meat. it wouldn’t completely solve the pinniped problem but it would surely help

No way an animal as smart as an orca wouldn't try alternate food sources if salmon were getting scarce. I've seen SRKW eating seals more than once, and I'm just an occasional visitor to the coast. Folks see some emaciated individuals and then make a flying leap of logic to conclude that they're all starving.

I am concerned about salmon stocks, there are many factors causing declining health in populations, but giving a virtual veto in the name of SRKW is unfair and way too simplistic. They're long on closures but short on funding going to salmon recovery.
