Seabeam or Poets Nook?

Howdy all,

As a group of Firefighters, we have gone up to Kildonan Lodge in the first week of September for several years.Due to changes we tried Seabeam in Bamfield last year.
We had a great time, tons of Coho.
Seabeam is a bit rustic, but perfect for 15-18 guys who don't need any frills and can fend for themselves.
Several of our group(myself included)are pushing the group to make a June trip up to Barclay Sound before the kids are out of school and we are loaded up with little gaffers.
Wondering what the concensus is between staying at Seabeam again or Poets Nook?
I dropped into Poet's Nook last year for a look at the place and was very impressed by the facilities and staff. Very friendly and obviously knowledgable about the waters and fishing around their little piece of paradise.I really enjoy being around people like that!!
I'm sure the June group will be a bit smaller and only have 12-15 guys with 4 or 5 boats.
Which place would you go to?
The group is well behaved mostly. There will be a few pops consumed but nothing towards drunk and disorderly.
I appreciate any input as usual from everyone here. All recommendations the past few years have benefited our previous trips and added to the great experiences we have had immensely.

Thanks,
Steve

Poett has both fuel and great docks which is a plus but my vote would be for Seabeam. I like the feel of Seabeam, a little more 'friendly', closer to the offshore (if that is where you are going). Seabeam just gives me a better 'fishing trip' feel.

If you want to camp then go to the nook. If you want to stay indoors the nook's bunkhouse does not have a toilet or shower and a 3am bathroom call calls for a bit of a walk.

I would agree, But the Nook does have a nicer and cleaner place to stay. Washrooms closer would be nice to see. At Seabeam the showers and toilets are at the end of the hallway. I like them both.

Never stayed at the Nook but have stayed at the Seabeam-Wouldn't go back again or should i say never bring my wife to stay there. Guys place only [:p]

seabeam also has a large nicer house outback that most guys dont know about 300 a night good deal for a bunch of guys /girls
