Howdy all,
As a group of Firefighters, we have gone up to Kildonan Lodge in the first week of September for several years.Due to changes we tried Seabeam in Bamfield last year.
We had a great time, tons of Coho.
Seabeam is a bit rustic, but perfect for 15-18 guys who don't need any frills and can fend for themselves.
Several of our group(myself included)are pushing the group to make a June trip up to Barclay Sound before the kids are out of school and we are loaded up with little gaffers.
Wondering what the concensus is between staying at Seabeam again or Poets Nook?
I dropped into Poet's Nook last year for a look at the place and was very impressed by the facilities and staff. Very friendly and obviously knowledgable about the waters and fishing around their little piece of paradise.I really enjoy being around people like that!!
I'm sure the June group will be a bit smaller and only have 12-15 guys with 4 or 5 boats.
Which place would you go to?
The group is well behaved mostly. There will be a few pops consumed but nothing towards drunk and disorderly.
I appreciate any input as usual from everyone here. All recommendations the past few years have benefited our previous trips and added to the great experiences we have had immensely.
Thanks,
Steve
