scotty right angle DownR. mount?

I have them on my boat as well and no complaints. I have a ridge on the top of the gunnel that makes placing any other mount more difficult.

ya I just barely have enough room to moutn a regular square plate, but this sounds like a better solution. Now who wants to come install them for me;)

piece of cake, drill 4 holes secure the mounting plate to the
boat. 2 scotty bolts secure the right angle mount to the plate
and thats it.
Took about 20 mins for both sides

I had them on the old boat. even mounted my prawn puller to it.twisted a little bit though with the puller when the rope was coming up at an angle. dad had the older ones on his double eagle. The older style were made of metal and didn't twist.

If you need a backing plate use a kitchen cutting board, can be worked much like wood comes in different thicknesses, is cheap & tough and impervious to water.

that was a joke boys, I think I can handle installing 4 bolts ;)

And dogbreath, you're talking about starboard are you not?

More or less, the original Starboard looks quite expensive though.

Since it's just a backing plate I'd use a cheapo imitation from the dollar store, I'd never buy that sort of thing from a marine $tore.;)
