I got 200. I zap strapped the spool to a rail then let her rip on auto. I didn't bother trying to keep tension though. I just threw an 18lb ball on after and sent it all the way down and brought back up. Easy peasy.
When spooling braid onto any spool it's best to put some tension on it. This will prevent it from wrapping over itself on the spool and creating a big mess / stoppage.
For instruction on re-spooling the Scotty with braid;
If you take to PNT or Chandler they have power pro in bulk spools and will spool your riggers on-site..... Choose what lb and how many feet you want. I went with 200lb x 400’ on my hp’s
