Sansum narrows

Fished evening of the 20th at Hueys.

Left 3 Majic lures on the bottom, and didn't have a single hit. Moved over to Bold Bluff, nada.

Did my 5 hours at Bold Bluff today, 1-6 pm.
One shaker Jack spring and one 18 pounder.
Both on a 3" chrome Tom Mack.
An odd choice of lure maybe, but I'd tried everything else, even a Coyote Funky Chicken. Noticed the few herring I saw jumping looked pretty small so went with the Tom Mack.
People I know had a similar fish on a 4`Cop Car.
Saw one other fish caught but he got sealed.
Good flood tide today so seals were mostly in the bay.

Nice work, good to hear a few guys still fishin old school gear. Lots of fish caught on those spoons back in the day.

Not much happening.
3 days left and no fish today. One strike and thats all she wrote.

One last kick at the cat today. Fished hard from 6am until 2pm. Released three undersized springs at the boat and lost a good sized one down deep. Now closed for chinook retention until October 15th.

I wonder how many fish will still be caught and kept out there by those ignorant of the closure.
