Saltwater Surf Rods

Would like to know what rods and blanks you guys use for your Salt Water surf rods. Favourites.You have some nice Salmon so I assume some powerful rods are in order.

The Canadian West Coast sees a LOT more boat action than surf-pounding in general. The difference between the amount of surf-fishing in Australia and here is truely signifigant! That said, you are right, and those that do partake use reasonably heavy and longish rods. I have an 11-foot Shimano I employ with my Alvey, works great, but again, sees more work in the boat than out.
