Most of the cuttthroat are still in the rivers and streams. Spawning or have spawned & are mending kelts. They usually drop back out with the migrating fry in the spring. The emegence will be a little later this year due to so many cold days. There may be a few on the beach, but you are better off waiting until spring and intercepting them in the estuaries. They will be waiting there to eat all our salmon fry!!!! After that, they are avaliable on the beach all spring and summer. Most will go back in the rivers with the salmon, some will wait longer....
