Salmon Fishing

So where does the salmon fishing seem to be best on swiftsure....the east side of the closure or the west side... any info is greatly appreciated.. we will be up to fish in the next couple of weeks.

I acctually seem to do best while in the closed area [] LOL J/K Depends on the weather and tides. But we usually fish right in the middle on the Vancouver Island side. Just out off Nitinat Lake.

I don't mind givin money to canada for the fishing....but givin em my boat cause I was fishin in the closure area.....just isn't going to happen......

As of late it's been 50/50 on the North or South side, you will know right away. Anything white, 150-200 feet down, no fish in half an hour, move. Troll over any structure in less then 200 ft of water, and no, I don't mean the middle

Of course, the wheelbarrows of slaps coming in from Logan Creek make it a nice place to fish right now too!
