Salmon Filet Mat - Where to find?

Wondering if anyone knows where I can find a few filet mats, similar to the one if the pic here? I've been into Canadian Tire and a few other hardware stores and they don't have them. Cheers, tincan.

I just go to a carpet store-tell them what I need it for and they come out with the right stuff. I usually put grommets in mine to hang them over the side of the boat for cleaning!

trotac has them they call them halibut matts

does this stop the sliding around if so I gotta get something like this
Yes it does-the old artificial turf with the fake grass was the best but hard to find now. You can get some unbelievable outdoor carpet nowdays that will put up with cleaning fish for years before going under-hence the carpet store. Trotac sounds like a good place as well -maybe they have something different.

How does one clean the outdoor carpet afterwards, can't be just water?
Absolutely-we use a 11/2 ft by about 4ft strip on the back transom /cleaning table on the boat. We clean all the fish on it-after it is hosed of with the boats salt water washdown-then hung over the side until the boat moves again. You have to get a premium outdoor carpet-some of this stuff is bullet proof-talk to you carpet store and tell them what you are going to use it for. Gets washed with detergent at the end of the season. Last piece lasted 2 full seasons til guys got a little heavy with the heading knife!!

RV 'shelf' stuff is the bomb for cleaning fish. it sticks to whatever surface you put it on and fish don't slide around. hose it off and hang to dry. and if it gets bunged up, cut another piece. also works great if you use a composite cutting board. put a piece down, the board on top and there you have it a nice solid surface to work on without anything sliding around.

Ok but what detergent do you use?

I'm in Vancouver and have tried looking at Canadian Tire, Home Depot, 3 vets, fishing stores, dept stores and still no luck. Sounds like I'll have to venture into a carpet store at some point even though I have found those hard bristle plastic mats at hardware stores before. thx for the suggestions and alternatives guys.
