Salmon Beach

Hey Guys,


I planning my honeymoon for late august and we found a great place to rent at Salmon Beach near Toquart Bay. We will be heading there August 20th I would think at that time there should be good Chinook fishing in the area. I have fished Bamfield side many times but I have not fished on this side of the broken group. From what it looks like on a map Sail or Swale Rock and Effingham would be good spot in the middle of the sound but is there any spots closer to toquart side? Also Salmon Beach has a boat launch and I was wondering if people have used it on different tides and what it was like. It a 18km dirt road in but from what I have been told it a pretty good road and just take your time? Any info would be great.

The boat ramp isn't launchable at really low tides so you have to get up extra early or sit back and have another coffe ha ha. All those spots you mentioned should be good fishing. Big Bear, Folger Island , and right out front of Ukee can be good too. Enjoy your stay. I'm heading up to my lot this afternoon yeeee hawww!!!!
