Saanich Inlet Prawn Opening?

I was assuming that per previous years, prawning opened on April 1st in Saanich inlet but can't seem to find anything announcing the opening on the DFO site? Does anyone know if it will be open or if there is a bulletin with this announcement?

JMHO but I doubt it will ever open to the public.
Launch fees are nothing to the proprietors in the grand scheme of things and they just don't want to deal with the general public.

So without a launch on the side of Saanich by the inlet, is it worth hustling around from a Sidney launch? Looks like about 20km from Sidney around to the center of the inlet. Depending on your boat and weather, I guess that's half an hour of cruising time one way, and $50 in gas round trip?

Catch the flood in and the ebb back, it does help.
