rust off squirt/hoochie?

Any tips on how to get rust off squirt/hoochie? I tried spray nine which took off the rust but also lifted the UV film from the rubber. Looking for something that will get rid of the rust but not harm the UV film.

Honestly, once they get to that point they go into the box of fishing gear that I'll never use again but can't throw away. Then I go buy a new one. Wish I could be more helpful.

You can clean hootchies with a bit of bleach and water. Don't know about the UV.

You can put the UV film back or add it to any lure, just buy a bottle of 'UV Blast' and squirt them. Just remember that it will wear off over time and will have to be re-squirted once it no longer glows when observed in the water.

Sounds good. Where can you buy that?

I think it was Island Outfitters in Victoria; the memory is a little foggy. Not cheap though. There is a tag on it for 13.99 plus the HST and it is a 4 FL Oz squirt bottle. I use it on certain non glow/non UV teaser heads and flashers and even on radiant glow flashers and teaser heads as they lose their charge once they have been down a while. I guess another one of my fishing secrets is out.

Also check out their super glow paint.

x2. Tackle box full of probably 20 purple haze squirts that are now more "brown dull" :-)

One of these days, will find the time to properly clean out that tackle box....yup, that's right, some day sooner or probably later.
