Rupert's Inlet/Winter Harbour early Sept.

Hi all. This post asks several questions. My fishing partner and I are thinking about fishing this area, around Sept 6, for a week or so. Rather than haul the boat down the the long road to Winter Harbour, we were thinking about staying at Rupert's Inlet and running the boat out of there. How long of a run would it be from there to winter harbour? Where can one fuel up along the way. Any spots other than winter harbour? Any salmon in the area at that time? My partner will be doing more research on this, but I thought I'd ask some questions of my own. Thanks in advance.

Are you camping???

If so then Rupert Arm is a great place to stay and go fishing each day from, however it is about an 1 hour run (at 30 mph) one way to the light house. There will the odd spring still around and the coho fishing should be good. Great crabing and prawning in the Rupert Arm. The only place for fuel is in Winter harbour or you can run back to Hardy or McNeill in your truck.

Cheers

Around the corner from Coal harbour. Great place to camp, but a long run to the outside.

Yes, we will have a truck and camper, and a second pick-up as well. We did hear about the crabbing being pretty good in the area, so thought we'd stay there for a while.
Thanks for your input, it is appreciated.
