Best fishing for Rockfish this time of year is this large rockpile....just outside of the harbor.... You can't miss it... tons of fish...
If you have difficulties finding it... Just look for the large red and white sign that says "Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada". Interestingly enough DFO has a floating barge they use as an office just adjacent to this rockpile. There should be a few DFO officers in the their office. Ask them where the rock pile is. They can even give you a few good tips on which lures to use at this time of year. Make sure you bring your nicest rod and load up your boat with expensive gear. DFO likes to take pictures and catalogue people's boat and gear when they are fishing for rockfish, especially if they bring a few home with them.
