Hi All. I was gifted a lovely 9' bamboo fly rod. The only markings on it are:

Fly Rod
Recommended Line Size #7

The rod is gold with red eye wraps and is in beautiful condition. Can anyone tell me what weight this rod might be?

You can calculate it yourself. I’ve attached a video below, but it does indicate it’s a #7wt.

I’ve been meaning to pull out a salmon rod and do this test to get a general idea of their weight on the fly line scale.

Might do that someday this week.
