Repair punched out eyelet (ugly stick tiger lite)?

Is there a way to repair this rod tip eyelet with out needing to cut it off and epoxy on a new one? It’s a 1 piece 5’10” hali rod….

take a hot air gun to it on the lower setting for maybe 30 sec to a min and the twist off most of the time there stuck on with hot glue use a pair if pliers as the metal frame will be hot ... and just replace with a new tip guide and re glue and then just epoxy coat be back to new
no need to go sawing the tip off ...
or take it to a local tackle shop they should have some one who does rod repair

Tie the tiptop with a piece of strong nylon stting to a solid object. Pull directly toward you while helper uses heat gun as above. Try not to twist. Solid pressure and heat will pop off. I have done it many times and learned by destroying one blank by twisting too much. It will come off be patient.

Excellent, thanks you two! I didn't realize/think that heat would do the trick. Easy peazy, especially like the nylon string tie-off tip.

Get one of these amazon has them. You can measure the barrel size for orderind

A tackle store should replace for 10 or 15 bucks in 5 min.
