Word is that the big mutts are still pouring in from Camper all the way up to Carmanah. The Coho are apparantly making a showing as well. We are headed up with the camper on Monday for four days and with rain in the forcast it should be as good as last years trip...

Here goes, Unless things have changed.

Coho openings and closures:

The daily limit for coho salmon in Subarea 20-2 and 20-1 (in the area shoreward of a line between a square white boundary sign at Owen Point, Port San Juan Light/Whistle Buoy, and San Juan Point) will be four (4) per day, of which only two (2) may be unmarked effective September 6 to December 31.

The daily limit for coho salmon in a portion of Subarea 20-1 (seaward of a line between a square white boundary sign at Owen Point, Port San Juan Light/Whistle Buoy, and San Juan Point) and 20-3 to 20-7 will be four (4) per day, of which only one (1) may be unmarked effective October 1 to December 31.

Thanks. Good luck on your trip--I'm very envious of a nice fall trip like yours. We've booked a couple of cabins for the 1st weekend in October so we can go in the derby. Last year the weather was perfect--let's hope it's the same.
