Refitted 78 Searay 22 SRV Podded w/twin 2015 Mercury 115 -4 Strokes and 2021 Tuff EOH trailer

I walked by that boat hundreds of times over the years, and the way it’s been restored. I would have never even think it was the same boat, it had the eighty’s vibe to it 😂😂with modern outboards and a few dings in the props lol. Well done.

Picked up a beautiful clean searay yesterday, motors ran great, hit 32 knots in the chop, only thing this boat needs is trim tabs.
Was a pleasure dealing with Rayvon 🍻
Right on man! Your floating again..I just happened to remove my tabs last month, come grab em!

Little update for you guys wondering how the searay-ven is holding up.

We have taken her out for a few local trips, a few pender harbour trips and heading out again to pender harbour for 5 days next week.
The motors are running smooth and quiet, haven’t had any problems with them and hopefully it stays that way. Trolling is effortless with one main and the rear helm is awesome, love the troll control buttons at the stern. Trolling on twins is great when it gets sporty, she keeps course very well. The open cabin is one of my favourite things about this boat, steering from the back with an open view is amazing. It also lets me bring more guests on fishing trips, I’ve been used to 3 people max but with this open design she easily takes 5 without feeling too crowded.
Wife and kids love the interior, super comfortable, clean and the high gunnels make it feel safe, although I don’t think the dog is super happy with the high gunnels because he needs to step up to see, but will figure something out for him, I don’t think he cares too much, half the time he will sit at the dinette LoL he just loves boats.
Launching and retrieving the boat solo is a breeze, although I find myself treating her like an aluminum and riding her up the trailer a bit too rough, one thing I want to do is replace the roller on the trailer to a better one to prevent any damage. I did have to put some weight into her to level her out and trim tabs would be nice to have instead of telling the fat guy to shift over. I also had a survey done and everything besides a light out passed, Rayvon did an excellent job refitting her to industry standards. Overall I’m very happy with this boat and spending more time on the water.

Cheers

I'm glad to see your happy with her, should last another 40 years.I've gone from a 2 boat owner to a no boat owner in a couple of months.Sold the Grady to couple that really wanted it.Looking for "The Last Rayvon 2" or "The Very Last Rayvon" now with a "Wanted" ad but not many replies, everybody is out enjoying them I guess.

The Grady was a great boat,but I got an offer I couldn't refuse.Of the 4 replies I've had 2 were my previous boats,206 DE and 215 Aquasport.One guy replied with a 28 Bayliner w/2 outboards.

If your reading this I'm still looking for an 18-23 Ft. fiberglass trailerable fishing/cruising pilothouse or hardtop sportfish boat with Outboard Power ONLY.
It should be in the $20K-$70K price range and be in excellent, low hour condition.
Please e-mail me @ hawthornes@telus.net with your contact phone number and details of the boat you have to offer for quick response.

My ideal might be a 22 Seasport or Jenkins Seawest, but hard in my price range I think with outboards.I don't go out in bad weather anymore so a 19,21 or 22 Arima might work but I don't like the offset kicker so much. But I like lots of other models like Wellcraft Coastal,Skagit Orca,Pursuit etc. I love boats in general and appreciate a well kept boat and I'm willing to pay a premium for it.I'll consider anything as long as it's well maintained and in great shape and has OUTBOARD power ONLY. OH,and my marina only allows 30FT. overall including tilted outboards and bow sprits.

What do you think of the newer Campion 24s?
