Recommendations for Family summer fishing trip destination

Hey Guy's

I normally take a two week fishing trip up the island around the end of July as usual I am going to Winter harbour for the first week then normally I spend the second week in telegraph cove. The second week is more family orientated with my wife and three kid comming up which is why I like the inside waters but I have to admit the fishing is not great and there is not a bunch of stuff for the little kids to do. Are there any other places to go which would be better for the family maybe with a nice beach or a swiming pool... But still camping.

Try salmon point resort in Black Creek. Has a pool and playground for the kids and a marina for your boat. Stayed there last August. Wife and kids loved it. Close to good fishing grounds too.

If you wanted to head to the west coast of the Island, I do the exact same type of trip. We head over to Bamfield and keep the boat there. Great fishing for Dad. For the family, spending time exploring the Broken Group and the beaches around Bamfield is great (Brady Beach and Pachena Bay). Depending on the time of season you go, the water is very swimmable. There are some white sand beaches that look like you are in Mexico.

Campbell River has regained it's title latley. I would stick close to there. That is where all the action is.
