My buddy bought a 2010 1500 with the Hemi. Was burning over a liter and a half of oil every couple hundred km. Dealing with Dodge on warranty was like pulling teeth. Every time I talked to him, he told me a different story about how they kept saying that was within manufacturers specifications. Blah, blah, blah.... Everytime he went there it was difficult to get anything done. They pushed back on everything. Finally a Dodge rep came and looked at it. Decided to rip the engine apart. Rings weren't seated on 2 pistons. they finally decided to rebuild it. Honed the cylinders and replaced the head. He says it runs good now. I've never owned a Dodge, but after his horror story, I never will. Toyotas for me. Own an FJ right now, and will be buying a Tundra next. Easiest company to deal with when there is warranty. They even fixed something for me outside of the warranty period. See if Dodge will do that. That said, all manufacturers have lemons. He obviously got one. I'm sure there are many out there that are great trucks as well.
