Just wondering if you can use a splitter off of the the antenna for the VHF radio and use it to hook up a AM/FM radio, or do you need a seperate antenna for it? Thanks

i have a commander stainless 4ft. it works for both. not sure about the glass anteneas..

Yep. I do the same. Works great!

I looked at the Shakespear spliter and some of the reviews online they are not cheap. I decided to got with a seperate antenna for under $10 online. I have been told you don't even need to mount it. Just zap strap it with/to the wiring behind your console. Most of the time you won't even be useing AM/FM anyways.

Thanks guys. I picked up an interior "wire type" to try out. If it works great. If not will have to will have to try your other suggestions. Only had the boat 6 months or so and I'm just not to keen on drilling to many holes just yet. Hard to fill them in if you change your mind.lol
