Radar tower lean, aft vs fwd and radar advice

Just getting the unpacking sorted out to see what I have . It’s a bit of a mess.

I’m not going to be able to use my old radar tower unless i get the top resized. The width is 10” on my my mount and the new mounting hole centers are 9.17” wide. I guess I’ll be searching for a new radar mount. Any recommendations out there?

HC has them. I think ones they have the anchor light base also included.

I would sell the one you have there and as Spring Velocity has suggested grab the one from HC . Been running that one for 7 years and has stood up well

You can't just add a plate or struts to make the old one work? I mean I'm all for spending more money, but I'm sure there's a solution here.

Yup, I'm either welding a slightly bigger plate on there or countering sinking some stainless flat head machine screws thru the new piece of plate and saving the welding cost. I'm not into spending more money if I don't have to! Lol. I'd rather buy a bunch of new gear or gas ....

I’m all about saving and reusing things but I think time is up for this item. By the time I weld on new plate, strip paint and repowder coat I’m not sure what I’d be saving. We will see.

Well if your going to get something maybe get a rod holder/radar arch all in one somethig simple just like this.... my buddy walt has built lots of them a few for me. he will make it anyway you want custom and wont break ya...

Yeah that's way to go on that forward setup he has. Plus they aren't expensive.

The ones they have already have holes in correct position for radar. No screwing around. I think @Sculpin might still be making them.

Looks good and I’d consider that but I already have a rod holder setup. I think I prefer the radar to be up front on the roof with the fwd lean. It gives me more space up there.

Yep, that was a real old pic which I used as it showed the radar arch angle really well.

Third one is for auto pilot (not turned on) however I can control the auto pilot on all screens including the one on the rear deck
