Sounded like tough Fishing but there are Fish. Top boat I believe was 14 Fish yesterday.

Gibsons has never seen a boat like that before...Well our ride is going to be up in Tofino late tomorrow afternoon...Looking forward to this event as I'm on a beauty boat with a great crew... Mike P ,his brother Myles and my buddy Al and a couple new guy ... this is going to be fun

Well final got a couple minutes to start to unroll the Race for the blue tuna shoot out.... So the boys left Vancouver with the tub Thursday afternoon .....
Before leaving load up on some bait
had some great water to travel on there way up to Tofino marina with a stop over in Victoria Thursday night.. picking up my buddy AL and on there way Friday morning to Tofino arriving there in the afternoon.. With the captain meeting was at 6:00. where all the rules were went over for those that were in the shootout...

As i was the designed capt. myself and buddy Al attended...
After some great snack a few beers from the sponsor and some smack talk and laugh off to the crews kick off party..as a front had moved in and for the next 3 days were going to have a limit shot of getting out..perphaps after messy would be a better name for some...as most know funny how a first day of a trip goes eh

The forecast was correct ...for pain and crappie weather so it was going to be a rigging day and we had planned for sat. to be just that... I believe a couple boats made an attempted..one making it out another turning boat...i'm sure it wasn't fun..
We had Willie Mitchell's boat behind us & he was rigging up also on the sat.
Before we started to get things rigged up..had to unpack some great stuff from some of our sponsor for shootout..special thanks to Grunden, Normark ,Tuff line, Mustad and Pacific net and twine for the great gear....
