Prawning starting to pick up?

Has anyone else been having good luck prawning recently south of naniamo? Just went out after work and picked up a decent catch.

got over 200 this morning on the one set. Down deep around 400 feet. Half a Herring/canned cat food/pellets mixed for each trap.

Do you find the prawns deeper in the summer?

I usually do well in Oct./Nov and then in April around 200 ft.
Last time out about a month ago no prawns to be found.

Prawning has been excellent right now. Just be aware of the new regs starting Sept 16th in areas 17 and 19.

Well, just came home with a 5 gal. pail full. So i dont mind if its closed for half of every month.
