Prawn and crab fishing

I am taking some friends for there first sailing trip the second week of august.
I want to set a couple of crab and prawn traps to give them a treat. I am sailing out of Sidney B.C. and heading for maple bay and Salt spring island. Can anyone give me an almost certin good catch area for prawn and crab.
I am looking to impress them with a taste of west coast gold.

Cowichan Bay for Crabs , and I've seen Prawn traps off separation point.

Diddo on the Cow. And for Prawns, if you at Maple Bay, Stuard Channel is not much farterh and a sure bet for prawns as well, last time I was on the Cow, with the exception of one small spot in the bay, prawning was poor at best.
