I am completing an aluminum top for my boat and would like to install some railings along the back and part of the sides for handles purpose when walking along the ledge. Once in better shape I will share some pictures. I am wondering about how useful/practical can they be and welcome suggestion on a good set up. I am not certain if raised a couple of inches or lower. Is installing a few more rod holders at the back a good use of the back rail? I do have 4 other holders on the boat. I have not use rocket launchers before and wonder if you leave your rods set up while travelling to fishing spots. Has anyone ever use spray-foam insulation on aluminum? I would like to insulate the top to control temps and also add some rigidity, (1" of foam).
